Gumby’s is privately owned by Jody and Beth Prather. Beth grew up in the tobacco business with a family-owned wholesale company, the Chas. M. Sledd Co. in Wheeling, West Virginia, which the family owned and operated for more than 50 years. Jody also has decades of experience in the tobacco industry.
